Now that was fun. I haven't seen so many Skylines in one place in a long time. Probably, since I went to Japan for the Tokyo Auto Salon two years ago.
Got to give it up to Wen Lai of D-Sport magazine for setting up the Skyline 1/4 mile shootout. In the end, no one broke anything, which means = success! Well, Wen did toast his clutch, but other than that it was a weekend of fun.
In the finals fighting for the $500 1st price was Eric (blue R32) and Aki (multi-color R32). With Aki disqualifying himself at the start Eric walked away with the victory. Aki did a fun run right after to display his sleek driving skills and how mean his car really is with a 9.77 second 1/4 time slip.
Skyline GTR participants and their unofficial best time slip of the weekend included:
Wen Lai (D-Sport) - 700whp+ white R33 (11.0)
Eric Hsu (XS Engineering) - 700whp+ blue R32 (10.4)
Aki Fuchigami (Garage Bomber) - 800whp+ purple R32 (9.7)
Alex Chen (SP Engineering) - 1000whp+ silver R33 (10.6) & 500whp+ white R35 (11.4)
